When managing a housing corporation and supervising by the supervisory board (RvC), a critical attitude is necessary. If a director clings too much to his own working methods, thought patterns and convictions and is therefore paradigm-bound, this can lead to undesirable situations. This is evident from the research 'Strength and Counterforce' into the risks of long-term directors, which was carried out on behalf of the Dutch Housing Corporation Authority.
